Kikitrade Banks on Decentralization to Rename as “Kiki”

Embracing the Web3 Era

Dear Kikitraders,

Kikitrade was launched back in 2020 with a vision of promoting mass adoption of blockchain technology. Our goal was to create a safer, user-friendly platform for people to learn about this exciting technology.

Over the years, Kikitrade’s community has attracted over a hundred seasoned investors, influencers, project founders, and more, who actively share unique insights and investment experience. This has made Kikitrade one of the most dynamic social crypto communities in Asia.

Recently, we have witnessed numerous instances of misinformation and malicious practices within the cryptocurrency industry, which have caused negative consequences for the general public and led to significant financial losses to the public. In light of this, we have decided to encourage users to hold and manage their assets and transfer all their assets on the Kikitrade platform to their own private wallets. Kikitrade will be phasing out all centralized exchange operations, and no longer providing any asset custodial services. Instead of keeping assets on a centralized platform, users should have complete control over their own assets, taking the decentralizing step. 

Further, Kikitrade will be rebranded as "Kiki" and focus on helping users understand blockchain and Web3. Kiki's mission shall no longer be about creating a centralized platform, but rather to evolve into a decentralized one. Our goal is to build bridges that connect users to the Web3 space, embracing the vision of “Never Navigate Web3 Alone” and implementing the principle of “Your Wallet, Your Assets”. 

Starting in January 2024, we will begin integrating non-custodial wallet services. Trading, deposit, and C2C services will be maintained until February 28, 2024. From May 30, 2024, the centralized wallet service on the platform will be completely removed, and users will only be able to access the platform by connecting to their wallets. During this transitional period, all users are required to transfer away all their assets currently held on the platform (such as to their own private wallet). We guarantee that the platform has sufficient assets to facilitate a seamless transfer of all user assets within the period. We will announce further details regarding the transition in January 2024 and actively assist all users throughout the process.

Once users transfer their assets to their own non-custodial private wallets, neither the platform nor any other party will have any control over their funds. Users will have complete custody and control over their crypto assets. Self-custody minimizes risks and vulnerabilities associated with centralized exchanges or platforms such as hacking or theft.

Kiki's Roadmap

Embracing our belief in “Never Navigate Web3 Alone” we are excited to share our plans for Q1 2024, which include completing our transition to the new Kiki brand name and logo. We will be introducing a range of features and products aimed at making Web3 more accessible to all.

Kiki will seamlessly integrate non-custodial wallet solutions, allowing users to have complete control over their assets for various purposes. We will gradually roll out additional Web3 features, enabling users to dive deep into the decentralized space and truly connect with Web3. We also endeavor to continue building our community and attracting industry leaders, so as to provide a space for users better grasp market conditions and keep updated on all the developments in the industry.

Additionally, e are launching "Kiki Learn," a Zero to Hero Web3 tutorial designed to teach the fundamentals from scratch. The platform will also introduce dedicated community features for influencers, seasoned investors and project teams, allowing users to keep up with the latest market information and fostering valuable exchanges of insights.

Our ultimate goal is to establish Kiki as a comprehensive social platform at the forefront of Web3, powered by decentralized technology. By continuously introducing new technologies and innovative applications, we aim to become an essential social gateway in users’ daily lives, reshaping the social landscape as we go.
